Break free from blocks and sewing straight seams. Find freedom in curved piecing and learn a precision technique without using quarter-inch seams. This is a design-it-yourself class that will include pre-recorded videos (as needed), but features LIVE interactive sessions to discuss, share ideas, answer questions, and to shape the original curved design quilt that you will create. LIVE sessions will be recorded, posted, and then become available anytime. If you have to miss a session, no problem—you'll have access to it anytime...forever.

The gist of this class is for each person to create an original, curve-pieced, artful quilt—preferably a wall-quilt—that is innovative and aesthetically pleasing. Not only will you learn to design using pieced curves, you'll learn Ricky's easy, no-pins technique to accurately reproduce your design in fabric.

As a bonus, you will explore ways to create transparency in your design. Set your doubts and fears aside. This will be surprisingly easy and you’ll be going crazy for curves going forward.

Students will see what the others are doing, and ideas will be shared— drawing inspiration from each other for ideas and suggestions.

Each student will access downloadable PDFs that contain pertinent class information and instructions. 

Sessions will be presented via Zoom. No additional software is required.

Schedule
There will be LIVE sessions via Zoom on the following dates. Sessions run from 30-minutes to one hour depending on the needs of the students. Please note that the first three class dates are spaced closely and then more time between classes allows for sewing progress. Each student will post their progress. The entire class sees everyone's progress and they also see Ricky's comments for alterations and/or other suggestions.
