At Osage Creek Lodge

I’d like to personally invite you to join me for a one-of-a-kind quilting experience — the
Eureka Springs Quilt Workshop, set in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. If you’ve never been to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, you’re in for a treat. This enchanting, historic town is filled with winding streets, Victorian architecture, cozy cafés, and the kind of natural beauty that instantly stirs the creative spirit. Nestled among wooded hills, springs, and stone cottages, it’s the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and let inspiration flow.

During our time together, we’ll dive into the LocoMotion process (see images in gallery on menu bar). I’ll be guiding you step by step as you design your own unique work of art. But this week is about far more than technique. It’s about unlocking creativity, exploring your inner muse, conquering self-doubt, and celebrating success — all in the company of kindred spirits who understand the joy of quilting.

You’ll enjoy 24-hour studio access, daily sessions filled with enlightenment, laughter, discovery, and encouragement, and evenings to unwind and explore the magic of Eureka Springs. Together, we’ll share stories, make lasting friendships, and experience the deep sense of connection that happens when creativity and community come together.

We’ll finish our time with a farewell dinner on Saturday evening, celebrating the art we’ve created and the friendships we’ve formed — a perfect finale to a truly unforgettable week. Departure is Sunday morning. Please plan to attend the entire workshop and schedule your departure on Sunday morning, March 1.

If your soul is craving inspiration, beauty, and belonging, this is your invitation. Join me in the Ozarks for a week of quilting, laughter, and rejuvenation.

Weather in Eureka Springs in Late February

While weather in the Ozarks can never be predicted with complete certainty, late February in Eureka Springs is traditionally cool, calm, and quietly beautiful—the perfect setting for a creative getaway.

Over the past decade, average daytime highs have hovered around 55°F (12°C), with nights dipping near 35°F (+2°C). You’ll likely experience crisp mornings and refreshingly mild afternoons, with only a hint of lingering winter in the air. Snowfall is possible but not likely. Typically there is only 2 inches on average for the entire month. Most days are clear or lightly overcast, offering just the right mix of cozy and inspiring.

At an elevation of about 1,400 feet, Eureka Springs captures the serene charm of the Ozark Mountains—misty hills, winding roads, and the promise of early spring just beginning to whisper through the pines. By late February, daylight stretches to 10–11 hours, adding a gentle glow to the historic streets and scenic vistas that surround this artistic haven.

It’s a wonderful time to slow down, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and let the quiet beauty of the Ozarks feed your creative spirit.

FAQ's
Are sewing machines provided?
Machines are not provided. It is recommend to bring a simple machine with a good straight stitch that can be used for piecing. If flying, consider a small, lightweight workshop machine, strip it down, carry it on, with the additional elements (plastic table, etc) in regular luggage.

Effort is underway to see about rental options, please check back here for updates.

Is there transportation from the airport?
Please arrange your own transporting (rental car or otherwise).

SUPPLIES

Sewing machine
Fabric (a lot so you have a healthy stash from which to choose)
Basic sewing supplies, mat, cutter, rulers, needles, threads, etc.
Freezer Paper
Pencil Paper
Small desk lamp (extra lighting) is always helpful
Please DO NOT bring irons. We will have an ironing station.
Please DO Not bring extra sewing tables, the space is limited. Each person will have their own table.
You MAY bring your own ergo-chair if that is helpful.

You will find it a challenge to know exactly how much fabric to bring. But be thoughtful. Fabric is a key, but other gadgets, etc, are not so critical. This is a design and piecing class so fabric, cutting, threads, and a basic sewing machine are sufficient.
