On The Road Again is a pieced quilt using typical squares and triangles. It's based on Road to St. Louis pattern and there's a story.
When I made this, I was living in St. Louis, but I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, TX. It just so happens that Interstate 44 starts in Wichita Falls and ends in St. Louis so the "Road to St. Louis" is also the "Road to Wichita Falls", which is what I titled my version of the quilt. Feel free to title your version Road to ______ (fill in the blank with the name of your town). For the purposes of the pattern, I just named it On the Road Again — which has been a reoccurring theme throughout my quilt career.
I’m proud to say that this quilt was awarded Best of Show at the 1995 show put on by the University City Historical Society which was directed by the Circle in the Square Quilters.
