This interactive course* is the sequel to LocoMotion and all participants must have been enrolled in the primary LocoMotion course. This course builds on the lessons learned in the previous course so only students who took LocoMotion are eligible for this class. The MoLocoMotion process adds complexity, but doesn't add so much difficulty. Please do NOT register if you have not previously registered for the LocoMotion course.
Please take a look at the images in the photo gallery above to see how the string pieced effect is incorporated with the LocoMotion process. Whether or not you choose to use these methods, your quilt should be a step beyond what you did in the first class and can be larger.
*An interactive class means that each student receives comments and guidance. All students see the progress of the other students for enlightenment and inspiration.
Once again, each person will create an original work. In this course, an element of paper piecing will be introduced to create "strings" (not parallel strips) to add a more detailed elements. Creating the illusion of transparency will also be part of the class. Three small exercises will be assigned prior to delving into your original design.
This class contains seven interactive ZOOM sessions. These sessions will flow over the the course of about six weeks. As before, there should be ample time between sessions for designing and creating.
Students will still see the designs and progress of fellow classmates. Participants will be drawing inspiration from each other and gleaning ideas and concepts from each other.
Each student will access downloadable PDFs that contain pertinent class information and instructions.
Sessions will be presented via Zoom. No additional software is required.
Schedule
There will be LIVE sessions via Zoom on the following dates. Sessions run approximately one hour depending on the needs of the students. Please note that the initial class sessions are closely spaced more closely and then more time is allotted between classes to allow for sewing progress.
As before, each student will post images for comment and evaluation via Smugmug galleries.

WHAT IF I CANNOT ATTEND THE ZOOM AT THE SCHEDULED TIME?
This is not a problem. The Zoom sessions are recorded and will be posted as soon as possible at the conclusion of each Zoom session. You can watch them and proceed at your own pace. Even if you cannot participate on the days listed above, you have full access to the lessons forever and can go at your own pace if that is preferred. Upload anytime and still get your feedback and guidance from Ricky
