Experience a blend of landmark Christmas markets, centuries-old architecture, storybook castles, German quilting traditions, breathtaking scenery, and evocative history.

With visits to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Colmar, Basel, Freiburg, Neuschwanstein Castle, and more.

Once the tour is finalized, registrations will open on this page. Each person, even those traveling with a partner, friend, or spouse, will register separately.

This tour is 'under construction' and the final itinerary and pricing will be available in February, 2026.

Proposed Itinerary* — December 2026

Day 1 — Tuesday, December 8 — Prague

Arrive in Prague (3 nights)
Participants arrive and settle into the hotel. Some free time. I will arrange a group welcome dinner.

Day 2 — Wednesday, December 9 — Prague

Guided walking tour to introduce Old Town, the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, Castle district, and Wenceslas Square.
Group lunch, then free time for markets and exploration.
Possible evening concert/entertainment.

Day 3 — Thursday, December 10 — Prague

Free day to explore Prague.
Evening option: concert/entertainment or dinner boat cruise on the Vltava (Moldau).


Day 4 — Friday, December 11 — Prague → Nuremberg (2 nights)

Depart Prague after breakfast and travel to Nuremberg.
Group lunch upon arrival, followed by a brief panoramic coach tour of the area around the hotel.
Check-in and remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner on their own.

Day 5 — Saturday, December 12 — Rothenburg ob der Tauber Day Trip

Day excursion to Rothenburg to enjoy the medieval old town, Christmas markets, and shopping.
Return to Nuremberg before dinner.
Dinner on their own.
Possible evening: group dinner + German quilter lecture (either tonight or the following evening).


Day 6 — Sunday, December 13 — Nuremberg → Strasbourg (3 nights)

Depart Nuremberg and travel to Strasbourg.
Group lunch and a short panoramic orientation tour.
Check-in and free evening.
This may also be the preferred night for the dinner/lecture event, depending on venue availability.

Day 7 — Monday, December 14 — Day Trip to Colmar

Day excursion to Colmar.
Lunch and dinner on their own.
Return to Strasbourg in the early evening.

Day 8 — Tuesday, December 15 — Day Trip to Basel

Day excursion to Basel.
Lunch on their own.
Return to Strasbourg for a final Strasbourg group dinner.


Day 9 — Wednesday, December 16 — Strasbourg → Freiburg → Konstanz (2 nights)

Depart Strasbourg after breakfast and stop in Freiburg for a bit of unguided exploring, markets, and sightseeing.
Continue to Konstanz. Check in and evening at leisure; dinner on their own.

Day 10 — Thursday, December 17 — Konstanz

Free day to enjoy the lakefront, Christmas markets, and individual exploring. No structured activities.


Day 11 — Friday, December 18 — Konstanz → Neuschwanstein → Munich (2 nights)

Depart Konstanz and travel to Neuschwanstein Castle for a guided interior tour.
Continue on to Munich. Check-in and dinner on their own.

Day 12 — Saturday, December 19 — Munich

Optional morning guided walking tour.
Free afternoon for markets and sightseeing.
Farewell group dinner in the evening.

Day 13 — Sunday, December 20 — Departures

Transfer to Munich Airport for flights home.
