This is a design-it-yourself class that will includes LIVE sessions that are recorded and available forever. The online class features LIVE interactive sessions with individual followup, suggestions, and guidance from Ricky. In the event you can't attend any particular session LIVE, each session is recorded, posted, and available anytime.

The gist of this class is for each person to create an original, artful quilt—most likely a wall-quilt—that is innovative and aesthetically pleasing, but using primarily traditional pieced units. Please browse the gallery on this page to see the amazing quilts that students have made.

Each participate will see what their classmates are doing. This sparks new ideas and excitement. There is nothing like drawing inspiration from each other for ideas and suggestions.


The quilts are designed using focus blocks that are then surrounded and enhanced by traditional patchwork units. There is leeway for appliqué, but the Gridified Art Quilt is primarily geared toward patchwork. You will choose to work on a 4" or 6" grid. 

The class includes a digital download copy of Ricky's new Gridified Art Quilt book, a $30 value. 

All registrants agree that their final work or work-in-progress may be used in digital form and on social media and emails or other Gridified Art Quilt promotions.
